3. Endorsement Process

The endorsement stage is Step 1 of the Global Talent Visa application. You must be endorsed by a Home Office-approved endorsing body in your field before proceeding to the visa application.

After submitting your online application for endorsement, the relevant body will review and issue a decision—typically within 8 weeks. If approved, you'll receive an endorsement letter to proceed with your visa application (Stage 2).

For applicants in Digital Technology, a new endorsing body will be confirmed soon following Tech Nation’s closure. Until then, consider applying in other eligible categories if applicable.

4. Visa Application Process

Once you’ve secured your endorsement (Stage 1), you can apply for the visa itself (Stage 2). This is done online through the official UK government visa portal.

Step-by-Step Guide

You can choose a visa duration of 1 to 5 years. The longer the duration, the higher the Immigration Health Surcharge, but you won’t need to extend later.

If you are already in the UK on a different visa (e.g. Skilled Worker), you may be able to switch to the Global Talent Visa route — provided you meet the eligibility criteria.

5. Visa Fees

The total cost of a Global Talent Visa includes the endorsement stage (if applicable), the visa application fee, and the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS).

Note: INR rates are approximate and may vary with exchange rates. You must pay both the endorsement fee and visa fee if applying from outside the UK.
