A unique full 3-part IELTS Speaking test is generated for you — fresh questions every time, covering Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3.

2

Speak or type your answers

Use your microphone for a realistic speaking experience, or type answers if you prefer. Live transcription appears as you speak.

3

Complete all three parts

Part 1 interviews, Part 2 cue card with a 60-second prep timer, and Part 3 abstract discussion — just like the real test.

4

Get your examiner report

Receive a band score on all four IELTS Speaking criteria with strengths, weaknesses, filler word analysis, vocabulary upgrades, and grammar corrections.

The Four IELTS Speaking Criteria Explained

Every IELTS Speaking test is assessed against four equally weighted criteria. Understanding what examiners listen for is the fastest route to a higher band.

FC

Fluency and Coherence

How smoothly and confidently do you speak? Do you develop ideas logically without long pauses, excessive repetition, or filler words like 'um', 'uh', 'you know'?

  • Aim for extended answers in Part 1 — 2–3 sentences minimum, not one word
  • Use natural discourse markers: 'Having said that', 'What I mean is', 'To be honest'
  • Hesitate on content, not language — pausing to think of the right word is fine; pausing to find grammar is not
LR

Lexical Resource

How wide and precise is your vocabulary? Can you use less common words, collocations, and topic-specific language naturally and accurately?

  • Replace basic words: 'good' → 'worthwhile', 'bad' → 'detrimental', 'big' → 'substantial'
  • Use collocations: 'face challenges', 'raise awareness', 'have a profound impact'
  • Paraphrase the examiner's words rather than repeating them verbatim
GRA

Grammatical Range and Accuracy

Do you use a variety of sentence structures — conditionals, relative clauses, passive voice, reported speech? Are your sentences mostly error-free?

  • Use conditionals naturally: 'If I had the chance, I would...' or 'Were I in that position...'
  • Vary tenses: past perfect for stories, present perfect for experience, future forms for speculation
  • Attempt complex grammar even at the risk of minor errors — range is rewarded
PRON

Pronunciation

Is your speech easy to understand throughout? Do you use features of connected speech — linking, weak forms, stress, intonation — rather than word-by-word delivery?

  • Stress content words and reduce function words for natural rhythm
  • Avoid word-by-word delivery — link sounds between words as native speakers do
  • A non-native accent is fine — intelligibility is what matters, not a British or American accent

Frequently Asked Questions

After payment, you receive a full AI-generated 3-part IELTS Speaking test: Part 1 (interview questions on everyday topics), Part 2 (a cue card with 60 seconds preparation time), and Part 3 (abstract discussion questions linked to your Part 2 topic). You speak your answers using your microphone or type them as text. Once all three parts are complete, an AI examiner scores your responses against all four official IELTS Speaking criteria.

IELTS Speaking is marked on: (1) Fluency and Coherence — how smoothly and logically you speak; (2) Lexical Resource — the range and accuracy of your vocabulary; (3) Grammatical Range and Accuracy — variety of structures and grammatical correctness; (4) Pronunciation — clarity and intelligibility of your speech. Each criterion contributes equally to your overall Speaking band.

The AI examiner is calibrated against official IELTS band descriptors (Band 3–9) for all four criteria. For Fluency, Lexical Resource, and Grammar, the score is highly reliable and typically within 0.5 of a real examiner. Pronunciation cannot be fully assessed from a text transcript — the simulator gives an estimated band based on vocabulary complexity and sentence structure, with a clear note that it is an estimate. For a genuine pronunciation assessment, book a live mock test with an IELTS trainer.

Yes. The simulator uses your browser's built-in speech recognition (Web Speech API) to transcribe your spoken answers in real time. If your browser does not support the microphone or you prefer not to use it, you can type your answers directly. Chrome and Edge on desktop give the best microphone experience. Safari has limited speech recognition support.

A real IELTS Speaking test lasts 11–14 minutes. This simulator follows the same structure: Part 1 is around 4–5 minutes (6 questions across 2 topics), Part 2 is 1 minute preparation + 1–2 minutes speaking from a cue card, and Part 3 is 4–5 minutes (4 discussion questions). Allow around 15–20 minutes to complete the full test.

Each full mock test costs £4 (approximately $5 USD, ₹430 INR, AED 18, or your local equivalent — the price is shown in your currency when you start). Payment is processed securely via Stripe. Each payment covers one complete 3-part test with full band score and detailed examiner feedback.

Each payment is valid for one complete test session — one question generation and one scoring. To retake with a fresh set of questions and a new band score, you will need to make a new payment. This ensures each session is uniquely generated and fairly assessed.
